Customize the Finder Toolbar

April 30, 2006

With a Finder window open, just hold down the command key (That’s the one with the ? on it) and click on the white oval button in the top-right corner of the window. In doing so, you can cycle through all of the variations of the toolbar size and also toggle the icons and text on and off. Quicky and easy!

    Phil Hunter adds,

To go further with this tip if you hold down just the option key it hides the toolbar. If you hold both the command key and the option key it will open the “Customize Toolbar” window. I didn’t know this until I read your tip and experimented a little.

    Thanks Phil!
