Will Blackberry users bite the Apple?
January 12, 2007
There is an interesting discussion going on over at RIMarkable. Robb writes,
I am a certified, card carrying, diehard BlackBerry Addict and I can tell you that I will buy the Apple iPhone day one even though it is on Cingular. I have never said this about any BlackBerry… not even the BlackBerry Pearl.
As a recent BlackBerry convert myself I can say that I will be very interested to see if and when my Rogers wireless carrier in Canada will in fact decide to offer the iPhone. Personally I think they would be crazy not to with all the current interest surrounding the latest Apple creation.

Got something to say?

I won’t be getting an iPhone to replace my BlackBerry, however, not trying to sound like I am drinking the Steve Jobs Kool-Aid, the iPhone could mark a change in the wireless industry here in the US and Canada simply becasue Apple will mainstream smartphones literally overnight.
Having the first iPhone could be like saying that you had the first Macintosh computer or the first iPod.
Business will not bite on the Apple iPhone. The last thing you want to give your employees is a phone that will entertain. Employers will stick with the blackberry because it does what they want it to (E-mail / Phone) no more no less.
On a side note the iPhone is very cool if it wasn’t the price of a mac mini or $199 with a 25 year contract I would buy it.
