Apple has posted Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 2.0 via Software Update and standalone download. [2.29MB Download Link] Apple notes, This update extends RAW file compatibility for Aperture 2 and iPhoto ’08 for the following cameras:

Aperture to Picasa Plugin

For quite some time, there have been plugins for iPhoto to upload albums to either Flickr or Google Picasa. They have provided an excellent way to share photos if you don’t have .mac.
, Apple’s professional photo software, has had a Flickr plugin for some time, but those who are more inclined to use the Google service have been missing out. Until now. Software company, Ubermind has just released a beta of Aperture to Picasa Web Albums. The plugin offers support for creating new albums, conversion of Aperture keywords to Picasa tags, and an Album selector with cover images.
The Aperture to Picasa Web Albums plugin is in beta is a free download from Übermind.
Microsoft Announces HD Photo

Today at the Photo Marketing Association 07 International Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas, Microsoft Corp. formally announced HD Photo, a new file format for end-to-end digital photography that offers higher image quality, greater preservation of data, and advanced features for today’s digital-imaging applications.
This new, next-generation digital image format offers the best solution for digital image editing and storage and unlocks the potential for digital photography on devices, applications and services. Microsoft also announced that it intends to standardize the technology and will be submitting HD Photo to an appropriate standards organization shortly. Read more
