Apple Camp

It’s Apple Camp time again! If live in Ontario or Quebec and you are lucky enough to have an Apple retail store in your area you can sign up your child (ages 8-12) for a free Apple Camp workshop at your local Apple Retail Store. Apple Camp provides an opportunity for kids and families to participate in fun and engaging activities. Each Camp Workshop consists of two and a half hours of hands-on learning, doing cool stuff on a Mac. Campers complete their own project that they will take home on CD or DVD.
Select from Podcast Workshop, iWeb and iPhoto Workshop, Music Workshop and Movie Workshop. You may sign up for up to two Camp Workshops. Space is filling up fast for these free camp sessions so register soon.

As mentioned earlier on the site, there is a seminar on Aperture for Wedding Photographers coming to Vancouver, but it is also in Calgary April 4th at the Metropolitan Centre from 9am to 11:30am.
Another Seminar in Calgary aimed at businesses is called “Design at Full Speed” Co-hosted by Apple and Quark demoing the Universal binary version of Quark. This one is hosted at the same location, but runs from 1-3pm.
How can you find out about seminars coming to your area? Apple has a section of their website devoted to events its holding. From this page, you can search for apple events by location, and then subscribe to them and be notified by email.

If you live in or around Vancouver B.C., Apple is offering a free 3/hr seminar on April 3rd at Simon Fraser University Room 1900 515 West Hastings Street Vancouver, BC V6B 5K3.
Registration is free and is on a first come first served basis.
